Former U.S. President Joe Biden has signed with a Los Angeles-based talent agency, marking a significant step in shaping his post-White House career, BBC reports.

This move reunites Biden with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which previously represented him from 2017 to 2020 after his two terms as vice president.

"President Biden is one of the most respected and influential voices on national and global issues," said CAA co-chairman Richard Lovett in a February 3 Instagram post, praising the former president’s “commitment to public service.”

During his first partnership with CAA, Biden released his memoir, Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose, a deeply personal reflection on the loss of his eldest son, Beau Biden. The book became a New York Times bestseller and inspired his American Promise book tour, which sold over 85,000 tickets and helped lay the groundwork for his successful 2020 presidential campaign.

CAA also has connections with former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, who worked with the agency through their production company, Higher Ground.

At 82, Biden has remained silent about his future plans after a five-decade career in public service. However, upon leaving office in January, he reassured his supporters: “We are leaving office, but we are not leaving the fight.”

Two weeks after his departure, there are no clear signs that Biden is working on a new book or major project. While maintaining a low profile, he has been spending time at his Delaware home, staying in touch with former aides and colleagues. He also recently became a great-grandfather following the birth of a baby boy to his granddaughter, Naomi.

Although CAA is primarily known for representing Hollywood A-listers, the agency also works with politicians and social advocacy groups.

The Obama family's partnership with CAA through Higher Ground Productions has led to award-winning films and television programs, including the Oscar-winning documentary American Factory.

Similarly, former presidential candidate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed with CAA to represent her book projects, including Hard Choices, which detailed her tenure as America’s top diplomat.

While Biden’s next move remains uncertain, his partnership with CAA signals that he is exploring options for his post-presidency career.
