Elon Musk says those who criticize Trump are the real 'threat'

Elon Musk criticized those who called Trump a "threat to American democracy," stating that they themselves are the real danger to the country.

During a Q&A event with voters in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on October 26, Musk was asked about concerns that Republican candidate Donald Trump could harm democracy, especially considering his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Musk argued that the event was "not the riot it has been described as" and emphasized that Trump had urged his supporters not to use violence. "Those who say Trump is a threat to American democracy are, in fact, the ones threatening it," Musk said.

The crowd of hundreds applauded Musk’s response. The event was part of Musk’s and America PAC's efforts to help Trump gain support in key battleground states like Pennsylvania.

At the event, Musk also presented a $1 million check to a woman, continuing his daily prize initiative for battleground state voters who signed a petition supporting the U.S. Constitution.

Musk has vowed to fully back Trump’s return to the White House in this year's election. Documents submitted to the Federal Election Commission on October 24 revealed that Musk donated about $44 million to America PAC in early October, following a $75 million donation between July and September.

The January 6 riot occurred when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential victory, resulting in over 100 law enforcement officers being injured.
