Former President Bill Clinton Campaigns for Harris

Former President Bill Clinton campaigned for Kamala Harris in Wisconsin and Michigan, praising her policy proposals and criticizing Republican candidate Donald Trump.

"Her plans for the economy, education, and healthcare are far better," Clinton said on October 31 at a rally in Winnebago County, Wisconsin. The former Democratic president emphasized that he is campaigning for Harris "not for any personal reason but for the future of my grandchildren." He expressed his desire for his 10-year-old granddaughter to grow up with the same rights her mother had.

Clinton highlighted that, beyond having superior policy ideas, Harris stands out from Trump by being willing to consider opposing viewpoints. He also criticized Trump for his actions following the 2020 election and attacked Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance for “losing the last shred of self-respect” by claiming the previous election was fraudulent.

At a stop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Clinton urged voters to cast their ballots. "For our children, for our country, please go vote. We really need everyone," he said, adding that the presidential race could be decided in the state.

During an October 30 rally in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, Clinton also encouraged voters to support Harris. "I don’t think it’s right to say people should vote for Trump just because the economy was better under him. I don’t believe that," Clinton told Harris supporters.

Fox News interpreted this remark as an acknowledgment that the economy performed better under Trump’s administration. Republican Tudor Dixon, who ran for Michigan governor in the 2022 midterms, jokingly told the press, "I’m starting to wonder if he’s a secret agent for the Trump campaign."

However, Clinton firmly stated his wholehearted support for the Democratic candidate, saying, "Kamala Harris will be a better president than Donald Trump." He compared the visions of both candidates to highlight Harris’s strengths.

Bill Clinton, 78, served as the 42nd president of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Besides Clinton, former President Barack Obama is also actively campaigning for Harris, particularly in battleground states.

With less than a week until Election Day, both candidates are making every effort to reach as many voters as possible in what is shaping up to be one of the closest presidential contests in history.
