Newly leaked renders of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max offer a clearer look at Apple’s upcoming flagship devices, expected to debut in September 2025.
Asher, a 3D design expert at Front Page Tech, created the renders based on increasingly detailed and consistent leaks. The camera module, which was square-shaped on the iPhone 16 Pro, has now been expanded into a rectangular layout, resembling the design of Google’s Pixel 9 Pro. The larger module retains the triangular lens arrangement on the left side, while the LED flash, microphone, and LiDAR sensor have been repositioned to the right in a vertical layout.
Well-known tech insider Jon Prosser claims to have seen the actual iPhone 17 Pro design, noting that the back panel will feature a dual-tone finish, with the camera module appearing darker than the rest of the rear shell.
Meanwhile, Digital Chat Station, a prominent Weibo leaker, describes the iPhone 17 series redesign as “significant.” A completely new iPhone 17 Air model is also rumored, featuring an ultra-thin design and a horizontally stretched camera bar similar to the Pro models, but narrower.
More Upgrades Across the Lineup
Apple is also expected to switch back to aluminum for the Pro models, moving away from titanium. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will reportedly feature the powerful A19 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM, and a new 48-megapixel telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the front camera across all four models will receive a major upgrade, increasing to 24 megapixels—double the resolution of the previous generation.
The iPhone 17 lineup, set for a September 2025 launch, will include:
-
iPhone 17
-
iPhone 17 Air (a new ultra-thin model, likely replacing the Plus variant)
-
iPhone 17 Pro
-
iPhone 17 Pro Max
With Apple expected to introduce its biggest iPhone design overhaul in years, anticipation is building for what could be a game-changing release.
