Vice President Harris is concerned about the scenario of Trump declaring victory

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said on October 22 that her campaign is preparing for the possibility that Donald Trump may challenge the election results, but their primary focus remains on defeating the Republican candidate.

"We are prepared to handle whatever happens on election night and the days following. We have the resources, expertise, and focus for this task," Harris stated.

When asked about the likelihood of Trump declaring victory before the vote count is complete or media projections are made, Harris expressed concern. "Trump has previously attempted to undermine free and fair elections. He continues to deny the will of the people and incited a violent mob to storm the Capitol, leading to the injury of 140 law enforcement officers and the deaths of several people. This is a serious issue," she added.

Harris did not specify how her campaign would respond if Trump declared victory prematurely but urged voters to make a "serious decision about the future of the country" in the upcoming election.

Trump has not yet commented on Harris's statements. He previously accused the 2020 presidential election of being "fraudulent," refused to accept the results, and even sought to overturn the outcome. To this day, he has never conceded defeat in the last election.

Harris, who initially limited media interviews after becoming the Democratic candidate, has recently increased her interactions with the press.

Polls indicate that Trump and Harris are in a tight race, with both candidates having nearly equal support nationwide and in seven key battleground states.
